Former Democratic Representative Cori Bush, who was ousted from Congress in 2024, has officially registered as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), according to a report by the Washington Free Beacon. Bush, known for her past criticism of Israel, is now operating as a paid advocate for an anti-Israel narrative, organizing visits to the West Bank to influence American politicians.

Funding and Activities

Bush and her former campaign manager, Stephany Spaulding, have secured a $25,000 contract through January, with $6,000 paid monthly and an additional $7,000 for FARA compliance costs. The funding comes from the International Federation for Rights and Development (IFRD), a Brussels-based organization led by Palestinian filmmaker Gamaal El Attar. IFRD denies receiving support from foreign governments.

Public Statements and Tours

Bush has been seen in Ramallah with Palestinian activist Yasser Alkam, and later participated in podcasts where she compared Israeli security measures to Jim Crow segregation. On October 8, 2026, the day after the anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, she posted on social media urging Americans to visit the West Bank to support Palestinians facing attacks from settlers.

Downplaying the Reality

Despite her efforts to present a curated victim narrative, Bush’s tours avoid highlighting the long-standing violence against Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria. Checkpoints and border fences were established in response to the Second Intifada, which resulted in over 1,000 Israeli deaths. Events like the 2011 Itamar massacre, where two Palestinian terrorists killed five members of the Fogel family, including young children, are not part of her delegations’ focus.

Local Reports and Attacks

Local rescue organizations like Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron document thousands of attacks, stabbings, and sniper incidents targeting Jewish motorists and families annually, underscoring the ongoing conflict and its impact.
