A prominent ally of President Donald Trump, Laura Loomer, faces allegations of receiving undisclosed payments for social media posts aimed at influencing public opinion and reaching the president. According to a report by The Washington Post, Loomer, a self-described journalist and activist, reportedly accepted thousands of dollars in payments for her posts on X, which she shared with 1.9 million followers. The report, citing former Trump campaign adviser Alex Bruesewitz and three anonymous sources, claims that Loomer received $3,000 to $5,000 per commissioned post, if not more.

Financial Transactions and Loomer’s Response

Bank records reviewed by the Post indicate that Loomer and her media company, King Breaker Media, received more than $60,000 across four payments since May 2025. While the financial records did not explicitly denote the purpose of these transactions, sources suggest they may have been payments for her X posts. Loomer, however, denied the allegations, stating, “I’m not some influencer that makes money from tweeting. My business is public affairs and opposition research.” She also denied the claim that she asks for $5,000 per tweet.

Political Influence and Controversy

Loomer has been an influential voice among those in the president’s circle during his second term, having personally delivered information to him about National Security Council staffers she considered disloyal in April 2025 and urged him to fire them. She described herself as a “nuclear bomb,” a term used by an anonymous source in the Post. Trump similarly praised her at an Oct. 2 campaign rally, calling her a “great Republican strategist” and “a killer when she’s angry at you.”

Loomer is an advocate of the Iran War, a stance that has drawn criticism from figures such as Tucker Carlson and former Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who argue it was a betrayal of the America First movement. In response to the Post’s report, Loomer stated, “WaPo claims in their smear article about me that I am a ‘nuclear bomb.’ They are right. You can hire me, or your opposition will.”

Disclosure and Transparency Concerns

Bruesewitz, who is alleged to have paid conservative influencers for their social media posts through his firm, X Strategies, is accused by Loomer of politically disagreeing with her and “lashing out.” According to the Post, Bruesewitz’s company paid Loomer for policy-related tweets in 2025. Loomer, however, claims she was paid to conduct one page of research for him. Bruesewitz responded to Loomer’s allegations, stating, “I’m not against creators getting paid, I just think it’s probably time for political influencers to disclose what opinions they are being paid for.”

Bruesewitz added, “Our discourse would be healthier if those arrangements had to be disclosed,” while claiming he is transparent about his work. Influencers must disclose an “endorsement” when they are paid to promote a product, according to the Federal Trade Commission.

Neither Loomer, Bruesewitz, nor the White House immediately responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment.
