Attorney General Todd Blanche criticized Democrats for their threats against Trump allies and warned of legal consequences. During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” Blanche addressed the growing concerns about the Democratic Party’s potential use of lawfare against the Trump administration. Blanche emphasized that these threats are not only alarming but also potentially criminal.
Democrats Threaten Trump Allies
Blanche highlighted that since the Democrats won the midterms, several members have been threatening not only the administration but also donors to the Republican Party, American companies, and college students who might consider working in the Trump administration. He pointed out that incoming committee leaders have already promised investigations into the Trump administration, and some Democrats have referred to the new Congress as the “lawyer up” era.
“Some Democrats are now calling this new Congress that will get underway in January the ‘lawyer up’ era. They are threatening as you well know, investigations, subpoenas, potential impeachment articles,” Turner continued.
Blanche reiterated that these threats are not acceptable in a democratic society. He mentioned that a senator from Michigan, Sen. Slotkin, had threatened college students who might choose to work for the Trump administration, warning them of potential investigations. Blanche emphasized that such threats should not be tolerated.
“With the Democrats about to take a majority on the Hill, incoming committee leaders have already promised investigations into the Trump administration,” Turner said.
Blanche also pointed out that these threats have been ongoing for months and that the incoming leaders have repeated the same pattern. He warned that the country cannot continue to tolerate such threats and that it is time to take action.
“At some point, we have to say enough is enough. That is not the way this country can survive or live with these ongoing threats,” Blanche continued.
Blanche also mentioned that the Democrats tried this approach before with President Trump and his family, and it did not work then. He stressed that it would not work now either.

Blanche concluded by stating that if someone works in the Trump administration, they will have legal representation from his office. He emphasized that the threats against the administration are not only a violation of rights but also a potential criminal act.
