On Tuesday, a group of alleged thieves attempted to rob a jewelry store in Lynwood, Washington, before fleeing under a barrage of bullets as the store owner opened fire. The incident occurred just before 12:30 p.m., according to local reports.

FOX 13 reported that the suspects allegedly drove around in circles in the parking lot before accelerating and driving a white truck through the front of the store. The impact sent glass flying and caused store employees to scatter in panic. Masked suspects then allegedly ran into the store through the gap created by the white truck.

According to law enforcement, the suspects were also believed to be operating a black BMW SUV and a silver Toyota or Infiniti sedan. Police are currently searching for these vehicles as part of their investigation. However, it remains unclear whether any of the alleged thieves were injured by the store owner’s gunfire, as noted by KINK 5.

The incident highlights the ongoing debate over self-defense and the use of firearms in confrontational situations. While the store owner’s actions may have prevented a potential escalation, the circumstances remain under investigation by local authorities.

Law enforcement officials have not yet released any official statements regarding the number of suspects or their identities. The case is expected to be reviewed by the local police department in the coming days as more details emerge.
