Sean Combs, the disgraced rapper and music producer, was rushed out of a low-security federal prison in New Jersey in the early hours after sustaining a head injury, according to TMZ. Sources at the prison confirmed the injury was not life-threatening, though details remain scarce.

Combs Faces Legal Challenges

Combs has been in custody since September 2024 following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious sex-trafficking and racketeering charges. In October 2025, a judge sentenced him to 50 months in prison and a $500,000 fine. He is scheduled for release in early 2028.

Reported Luxurious Prison Life

Recent reports have detailed Combs’ seemingly extravagant time in prison, including access to massages, smuggled liquor, and Instagram. Associates reportedly sent money to the commissary accounts of inmates in exchange for favors. One inmate described the situation as “some rich sh-t,” noting it was unlike ordinary prison life.

Combs is said to use contraband cellphones to scroll through Instagram and view sexually explicit photos from an old girlfriend. He has also been able to purchase Remeron, an antidepressant sought for its mood-boosting effects, from other inmates. On weekends, he would often partake in a secret stash of premium liquor smuggled in by guards.

Spokesperson Dismisses Media Scrutiny

A Combs spokesperson downplayed the details of his prison life, stating that the media has reached a point where “the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news.” The spokesperson emphasized that the only real news is that Combs continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court’s decision on his appeal.
