President Donald Trump delivered a speech at a rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday, emphasizing his administration’s achievements in tax relief, job creation, and border security ahead of the November midterm elections. The event, attended by U.S. Representative Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and other state conservative leaders, served as a platform for Trump to showcase his economic and security policies.

Tax Relief and Economic Growth

Trump praised the Working Families Tax Cuts, which have led to zero taxes on Social Security in Arizona, larger average tax refunds, and increased rural health investments. According to the White House, these policies have spurred economic growth, resulting in a rise in both jobs and wages across the state.

Major Investments in Arizona

Significant private investments are reshaping Arizona’s tech and manufacturing sectors. Notable projects include Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s $200 billion expansion in Phoenix, EVelution Energy’s $850 million cobalt processing facility in Yuma County, Amkor Technology’s $2 billion semiconductor packaging site in Peoria, and Hadrian’s $200 million manufacturing and software hub in Mesa. These developments are expected to create thousands of high-paying jobs.

Border Security and Apprehensions

Trump also highlighted the administration’s success in border security, noting that southern border apprehensions dropped 94% below the previous administration’s monthly average in August. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) drug seizures increased by 73% compared to the same period in FY 2024 and 61% above the four-year average, underscoring improved enforcement efforts.

Political Campaigning

As the midterms approach, Trump used the rally to campaign for Biggs and Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, who is running for Arizona’s 5th Congressional District. The event underscored the administration’s focus on economic growth, tax cuts, and border security, all of which are central to Trump’s re-election strategy.
