Dolly Parton’s estate has requested police bodycam footage from officers involved in an incident at Vanderbilt Medical Center, following explosive allegations about the late country star’s nephew and former head of security, Bryan Seaver. According to TMZ, the estate is seeking footage from officers who responded to the incident on August 24 and 25, which involved Seaver.
Seaver Claims No Altercation, Felt Treated Like a Fugitive
Sources close to Seaver allege there was no altercation and that he was not cited by police. However, they claim that Seaver was treated like a fugitive during the encounter. Seaver believes the police were instructed to arrive in an effort to keep him away from Parton, according to TMZ.
Seaver Was There to Assist with Parton’s Funeral Arrangements
Seaver claims he arrived at Vanderbilt Medical Center to coordinate the logistics of moving Parton’s body to the funeral home and was there to assist with the transportation of her body. The estate is seeking bodycam footage of the discussion between Seaver and police, according to TMZ.
Seaver Was Parton’s Trusted Security Head
Seaver delivered the official announcement of Parton’s death and was her trusted head of security. After her passing, the estate fired Seaver and obtained a temporary restraining order against him and his security company. They accused him of making threats against Parton’s businesses, which he denies, according to TMZ.
