Biffle Estate Accused Of Mismanaging Assets Amid Lawsuits
Estate of late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle faces accusations of mismanaging assets amid wrongful death lawsuits.

The estate of late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle is under scrutiny as allegations surface that millions in assets may have been improperly distributed amid ongoing wrongful death lawsuits. Biffle, who died in a December 2025 plane crash, was part of a tragic incident that claimed the lives of six others, including his wife, children, and fellow NASCAR community members.
Wrongful Death Lawsuits and Asset Allegations
Following the crash, multiple wrongful death suits have been filed, with one of the most significant cases coming from the estate of Craig Wadsworth, a NASCAR community member. His estate filed a suit for over $10 million, while the estates of pilot Dennis Dutton and his son sued Biffle’s estate for a combined $30 million, alleging inadequate aircraft maintenance contributed to the crash.
Elena Smith, administrator of Wadsworth’s estate, has filed legal documents accusing those overseeing Biffle’s estate of selling millions in assets and distributing personal memorabilia without proper disclosure. She has requested the court to freeze further sales and distributions, citing concerns over the estate’s financial management.
Asset Sales and Legal Disputes
Smith claims that Jordyn Biffle Carpenter, Biffle’s niece and administrator of his estate, sold $1.6 million in real estate without revealing where the proceeds went. She also alleges that Carpenter concealed a will Biffle signed before his death, which reportedly named other individuals to manage his estate. Additionally, Smith claims Biffle’s yacht, “Checkered Past,” is being offered for sale in Florida for over $4 million, despite not appearing in the estate’s inventory.
Smith further alleges that Carpenter distributed Biffle’s personal memorabilia as party favors during a gathering at Biffle’s mountain ranch in August. She has requested a full accounting of the estate’s assets and the replacement of Carpenter as administrator with a neutral party.
A hearing on Smith’s petition to freeze Biffle’s estate assets is scheduled for the second week of November. The case continues to unfold as legal battles over the management of the late NASCAR driver’s estate intensify.
