Court documents include text messages and emails allegedly sent by Seaver, starting before Parton’s death, with threats to destroy her brand. One message, sent on September 1, read, “I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnerships and telling the violations these people have done on us. It’s going to be great. Or f*cking pay me.”
Seaver’s Defense and Family Ties
Seaver denied the allegations, claiming the communications were taken out of context. He described the messages as a joke between himself and his aunt, noting that Dolly referred to him as “killer” in a joking manner. He also stated that the messages were about specific business partners who had wronged her, and that he stood by those comments.
Seaver said he trusted Danny Nozell, Parton’s longtime manager, and that the messages were between friends and brothers discussing those who had harmed Dolly over the years. He reiterated this to TMZ, emphasizing that the comments were about specific, harmful business partners.
