Halle Berry’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, has publicly denied allegations of child abuse against her mother, stating she has never witnessed any abusive behavior. In a written declaration filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Aubry refuted claims made by her stepfather, Olivier Martinez, who accused Berry of abusing their teenage son, Maceo.
Denial of Abuse Claims
Aubry, 18, stated in her declaration that she has never seen her mother engage in any form of physical abuse against Maceo, including hitting, slapping, choking, or restricting his breathing. She addressed each of Martinez’s allegations point by point, emphasizing that none of the incidents described by him had occurred in her presence.
“I have never seen my mom place her hands around Maceo’s neck, put him in a chokehold, restrict his breathing, or engage in any conduct remotely resembling the allegations that have been made against her,” Aubry said, according to Page Six.
Supportive Parenting
Aubry described her mother as an involved and loving parent, highlighting how Berry supported Maceo’s interests and education. She noted that Berry attended his games, drove him to practices, and advocated for his academic success.
“She celebrates our successes, supports us through challenges and is always there when we need her,” Aubry stated, according to the source.
Emotional Response to Allegations
Aubry expressed her shock and sadness upon learning of the allegations against her mother. She also mentioned that she had spoken with Maceo shortly after the accusations were made, and he appeared unaffected by the claims.
“I never observed anything abusive about her parenting,” she added, according to the report.
Berry has firmly denied all allegations against her, and a judge has granted Martinez primary custody while restricting Berry to court-ordered visitation.
