Joe Rogan has signed a multiyear, multimillion-dollar partnership with Spotify, according to new reports. The deal, estimated to be worth upwards of $250 million, marks a significant milestone for both the podcast host and the streaming giant.
Rogan renewed his licensing agreement with Spotify, which will continue to stream episodes of his show. While the financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed, sources close to the situation cited the $250 million estimate, according to The Wall Street Journal.
“The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with,” Rogan said in a statement issued to The Hollywood Reporter. He added, “I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come.”
The partnership between Rogan and Spotify began in 2020, with Spotify’s exclusive licensing rights to “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Spotify ended its exclusive deal with Rogan in 2024 and began distributing the podcast more widely. The show features candid discussions with comedians, musicians, actors, and public figures, and has more than 18 million followers on Spotify. It currently sits at the top of the platform’s podcast rankings.
“Joe has built something incredibly enduring, and his show continues to resonate with a massive global audience because there’s simply nothing else like it,” said Jordan Newman, head of content partnerships for Spotify, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He continued, “Spotify’s podcast business has grown alongside JRE over the years, and we’re excited to keep building on that partnership for years to come.”
Rogan’s deal with Spotify underscores his continued influence in the podcasting space, as well as the platform’s commitment to expanding its content offerings. The partnership highlights the growing importance of podcasts in the streaming industry, with Spotify aiming to solidify its position as a leading provider of audio content.
