“Full House” child star Jodie Sweetin revealed that she and the late Bob Saget survived a terrifying drive-by shooting during a recent panel discussion at the ’90s Con on October 18.

Surviving a Terrifying Drive-By

During the event, Sweetin recounted the incident, describing how she and Saget were at a Janet Jackson concert when the attack occurred. “I remember a Janet Jackson concert with Bob,” she recalled. “And I walked back out to the car … and we were sitting in the car and like the window exploded.”

She later clarified that “they shot the window out of the car,” according to People. “It was a drive-by. It was back in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s. I leaned over to tie my shoes and it’s just like ‘pop pop pop’ and the whole thing shattered,” Sweetin said.

A Night of Chaos and Survival

Sweetin shared how she and Saget “ran off” after the shocking incident and had to wait for two station wagon taxis to pick them up, noting that Uber wasn’t an option back then. “Bob had to drive me home and explain to my mom what happened,” she added.

She also joked about the aftermath, saying, “So between that and the Laugh Factory, Bob was not always my mom’s favorite.”

Uncertainty About the Event’s Reality

Stamos asked Sweetin how the incident managed to go unreported by the press. “To this day I told that story and I wonder if it actually, it’s one of those like, ‘Did that actually happen?’” she said. “I was there and I doubt that it happened, but it actually did.”

The incident has sparked discussion among fans and fellow cast members, with many expressing disbelief at the event’s severity and its lack of public attention at the time.
