“The decline in this city over the last four years has been so exponential and devastating,” Messing said, highlighting the economic and social struggles faced by New Yorkers. She emphasized the need for lower utility costs and reduced congestion, referencing the proposed $9 congestion pricing toll to enter Manhattan.

Messing, who was born and raised in New York, expressed her deep affection for the city but noted its transformation over the years. “It’s not the city that I love anymore,” she said, underscoring her belief in Blakeman’s ability to revitalize the state.
“I believe in all my heart that you are the answer,” she told Blakeman, highlighting his focus on affordable living and job creation. “We have to cut taxes, cut utility expenses, and create good jobs, so our young people will stay here,” Blakeman responded, aligning with Messing’s concerns.
