Illinois Governor JB Pritzker made a humorous attempt at a Victoria’s Secret runway walk, joking that he couldn’t physically walk the actual runway because he had to ‘hold it down in Illinois.’ The video, shared on social media, features Pritzker and content creator Kamaryn Johnson walking down a sidewalk, pretending they’re on a runway. The clip received praise from users, with one commenting, ‘Immaculate. Next time let him hold your purse,’ and another saying, ‘The duo I didn’t know I needed.’
Previous Modeling Attempts and Online Mockery
This isn’t the first time Pritzker has attempted modeling for social media. In August, he was mocked for a video in which he posed with model expressions, with the caption reading, ‘when you’re in an aura-farming contest and your opponent is JB.’ Aura-farming is slang for trying to look cool or charismatic.
The video was widely criticized, with The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh joking, ‘Pritzker is kind of a medical marvel. He looks gaunt and frail from Ozempic and also still morbidly obese at the exact same time. He’s taking the concept of ‘skinny fat’ to places never thought possible.’ White House deputy assistant Kaelan Dorr quipped, ‘Only thing bigger than the ratio this tweet is getting is…well.’ RealClearPolitics president Tom Bevan added, ‘Might be the cringiest thing he’s ever posted, and that is saying a lot.’
Weight Loss and Political Ambitions
Pritzker has also embraced the phrase ‘governor-maxing’ on social media. In September, he opened up about his 80-pound weight loss, crediting it to starting a GLP-1 regimen. He told CBS, ‘I’ve been driven my whole life to lose weight. The fact that I am now able to do it because this GLP-1 became available is truly something that has meant a lot to me.’
When asked about a potential 2028 presidential run, Pritzker declined to comment, stating, ‘I have not made any decisions about what I might do in the future. I can tell you, I want to be the governor of the state of Illinois for a while longer.’
