President Donald Trump made a campaign stop in Grand Island, Nebraska, on Monday, rallying supporters ahead of the midterm elections. The visit focused on addressing concerns from farmers, a key demographic in the Cornhusker State.

The White House highlighted Trump’s policies, stating that “Under President Trump and Republican leadership, families in the Cornhusker State are keeping more of what they earn, farmers and ranchers are getting direct support, private investment is expanding production, and crime is falling in the state’s largest cities.” Additionally, the administration emphasized the impact of Trump’s tax cuts, saying they “stopped the largest tax hike in American history and put money back in Nebraskans’ pockets.”

“President Trump’s America First agenda is delivering real dollars and new market access to the producers who feed the country,” the White House added. Trump himself expressed confidence in the rally, stating, “We’re going to Nebraska, for a great governor and a great future Senator, and it’s going to be very successful. They have massive crowds as always, and we’re going to do a good job for them.”

Supporters lined up hours in advance for the event, with crowds stretching as far as the eye could see.

One supporter described their admiration for Trump, saying, “If I ever met Trump personally, I’d first burst into tears and then I’d faint,” according to a local news station.
