During a recent broadcast of Fox News Radio’s “Brian Kilmeade Show,” Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) made strong statements about international leaders, labeling President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping as ‘thugs’ who never comply with agreements. Scott emphasized the need for the United States to support ‘good guys’ like Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, while distancing itself from nations he described as ‘bad guys.’

Scott Criticizes Putin and Xi for Lack of Compliance

Scott stated, ‘Putin doesn’t comply with anything. It’s like Iran, they’re not going to comply with deals.’ He further called Putin a ‘thug’ and argued that the U.S. should not engage in business with such leaders. ‘We shouldn’t be buying things from thugs like Putin and we shouldn’t buy anything from China,’ Scott said.

Scott also praised President Joe Biden for his efforts, acknowledging that the president is a ‘business guy’ who tries to get things done through dialogue. However, he criticized the lack of results, stating, ‘Every time you talk to this guy, there’s never a deal.’ He reiterated that leaders like Putin and Xi are ‘liars’ and should not be aided by the U.S. government.

Call to Support ‘Good Guys’

Scott emphasized the importance of supporting allies in the face of global challenges. ‘We need to help Israel and we need to help Ukraine, we need to help Taiwan,’ he said. ‘We can’t help the bad guys.’ His comments reflect a broader U.S. foreign policy stance that prioritizes backing democratic nations and opposing authoritarian regimes.

These remarks come amid ongoing international tensions, with the U.S. and its allies navigating complex diplomatic and security challenges. Scott’s statements align with a growing bipartisan sentiment in Washington to strengthen alliances and counter perceived threats from adversarial nations.
