Three alleged home intruders, dressed as Amazon delivery drivers, entered the home of an 89-year-old woman in New York City on Tuesday, held her at gunpoint, and stole $24, according to reports. The incident unfolded during a tense confrontation that also involved the woman’s 70-year-old son, who was also present in the home.

According to the New York Post, the suspects zip-tied both the woman and her son at their hands and feet before taking their belongings. One of the intruders, identified as a woman, was captured on surveillance video wearing an Amazon employee vest, black hat, pants, boots, gloves, and glasses. The suspects reportedly snatched the seniors’ cellphones, cash, and credit cards during the robbery.

The victim told police that the intruders threatened her with violence, saying, “Where’s the money, where’s the money, if you don’t tell me, I’m going to kill you.” The woman’s son was also held at gunpoint during the incident, adding to the severity of the crime.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and the surveillance footage is being analyzed to identify the suspects. The case highlights the growing trend of home invasions where perpetrators use disguises to evade detection and intimidate victims. Law enforcement officials have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

While the details of the case continue to unfold, the incident has sparked discussions about the need for increased security measures in residential areas and the importance of community awareness in preventing such crimes. The victim’s family is currently recovering from the traumatic experience, and they are cooperating fully with the investigation.
