President Donald Trump delivered an energetic rally speech at Clemson University’s T. Ed Garrison Arena on Wednesday evening, aiming to secure a victory for Republican U.S. Senator Darline Graham as early voting gets under way in South Carolina.

Midterm Push in Key Battleground

The event forms part of a multi-state midterm blitz designed to shore up key Republican candidates across the nation, taking place in a dependably red Upstate region that has suddenly turned into a tightly contested battleground.

Graham, who was appointed by Governor Henry McMaster (R-S.C.) to fill the seat following the death of her brother, long-serving U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, is locked in a competitive race against Democrat nominee Annie Andrews.

Addressing the packed crowd, Trump highlighted the urgency of the moment, telling supporters to treat the upcoming election as if his own name were on the ticket.

“So what I really want you to do is pretend, please, that I’m on the ballot,” Trump urged the audience, reiterating the necessity of high Republican turnout to protect the party’s narrow margins in Congress.

Throughout his address, Trump also repeatedly targeted Andrews, describing her as out of step with South Carolina voters while positioning Graham as a steadfast conservative successor to her brother’s legacy.

Graham joined Trump onstage toward the conclusion of the event, praising the Trump administration’s policy platform and declaring to the cheering audience that the Palmetto State remains firm “Trump country”.

The rally was notably marked by several vocal interruptions from numerous left-wing protesters stationed both outside and inside the arena, sparking fiery exchanges from the podium as security removed the enraged individuals from the venue.

Nonetheless, despite the disruptions, Trump maintained his focus on energizing conservative voters in the Upstate, urging them to cast their ballots early and secure Graham’s full term in the United States Senate.
