Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, is taking a step closer to freedom as she will be transferred to a halfway house in 2027. The news came to light on Wednesday, the same day that A24 released the first full trailer for the documentary ‘You Can See Everything,’ which explores her rise and fall.
Holmes was sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison for defrauding investors with false claims about her medical device company. She will be moved from Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas to the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas, on August 23, 2027.
Documentary Explores Holmes’ Journey
The documentary, ‘You Can See Everything,’ premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in a secret screening. It follows producer Nathan Fielder as he moves in with Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans, just 34 days before she is set to report to federal prison.
The trailer opens with a candid conversation between Fielder and Holmes. Fielder asks, ‘You really feel you did nothing wrong?’ Holmes responds, ‘I wish I knew, you know? I don’t know. I don’t, I don’t feel like I understand that.’
The film is set for release on October 16, offering a deep dive into Holmes’ journey from a visionary entrepreneur to a convicted fraud. The documentary provides a rare glimpse into the personal and professional life of one of the most controversial tech figures of the past decade.
