The 24-year-old Polish man, identified as Michał O., is suspected of opening fire on pedestrians on Sławkowska Street and later Market Square on Saturday. The attack, which has shocked the nation, has prompted a nationwide response from government officials and law enforcement.
Discovery of Bodies in Home
Polish police confirmed that a search of the suspect’s residence in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski revealed the bodies of three individuals, including two women and a man. Prime Minister Donald Tusk suggested that these could be members of the suspect’s immediate family, though no official confirmation has been made. The suspect, who was shot by police during the attack, is currently in hospital following surgery.

The suspect was reported to be dressed in military-style clothing and used an AR-15 rifle during the attack.
