Three senior citizens were found dead in a bloody and macabre crime scene at a home in Mount Holly, New Jersey, after a mail carrier discovered a disturbing note on the front door, authorities reported. The bodies were discovered on Friday by police, who confirmed the location is approximately 25 miles east of Philadelphia across the Delaware River.
Disturbing Note Found at Scene
The postal worker called police after finding a note on the front door, which appeared to be crafted like something out of a slasher film. Heavily taped to the door, the note read ‘9-1-1 Inside,’ accompanied by disturbing drawings of two unhappy faces with ‘X’s’ for eyes, according to photos shared by local media.
Neighbors Describe the Victims
A neighbor, David Babcock, told an NBC affiliate that two brothers and their sister, all believed to be in their sixties, lived at the home. However, it remains unclear whether they are the actual victims. Babcock described the victims as ‘very nice’ and ‘didn’t bother anybody.’
Another neighbor, speaking anonymously to the New York Post, noted that she only saw one man entering or leaving the home, suggesting he might have been the sole occupant. The police chief, Clifford Spencer, stated in a Facebook post that the incident is deeply concerning to the community and reassured residents that safety and security are the highest priority.

The investigation by police and the prosecutor’s office is ongoing. Authorities have not released the names of the victims, pending notification of family members.
