Comedian Dave Chappelle claimed during a stand-up set in New York City that he ‘feels better’ since the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Chappelle admitted on stage Friday that he ‘feels f*cked up saying this. It’s scary being a public speaker. And I mean look, ever since that guy Charlie Kirk got murdered … and I shouldn’t say this publicly but, I feel better,’

Chappelle has reportedly made similar comments celebrating Kirk’s death at other events throughout his ‘Karmageddon’ tour. ‘I know I shouldn’t say that, but it’s just a feeling,’ Chappelle also said. ‘I didn’t ask to feel this way. I just be driving around like, ‘Why am I in such a good mood? Oh!”

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in September 2025 at Utah Valley University, where the conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder was speaking at an outdoor event.

TPUSA contributor Jack Posobiec pointed out in a post on X that Kirk defended Chappelle after a trans activist attacked him on stage in 2022.

‘In 2022, Chappelle was attacked on stage by an enraged man who said it was due to Chappelle’s jokes about the trans community,’ Posobiec wrote. ‘And look how Dave Chappelle repaid him.’

Chappelle’s statements come after leftist podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie ‘Pumps’ Sullivan discussed ‘digging up’ Charlie Kirk’s body on their podcast ‘I’ve Had It.’

While reading social media posts mocking conservatives following massive Democrat gains in Tuesday’s election, Jennifer Welch could not contain her laughter after reading a post saying, ‘We’re digging up Charlie Kirk and doing it again.’

Multiple sponsors have since dropped Sullivan and Welch’s show, including Cash App, Shopify, and Chewy.

Cash App condemned the hosts’ comments in a statement posted to X.

‘We do not condone violence of any kind, and we are no longer sponsors of this podcast,’ the company wrote.

The two hosts released a statement apologizing on the show’s Instagram account.

‘On Thursday’s show, we laughed at a joke about Charlie Kirk. It was an insensitive joke, and we should not have laughed. We regret it, and we apologize,’ the statement read. ‘Whatever our political differences, there is nothing funny about gun violence. We’ve long supported common-sense gun safety reform.’

‘To that end, we’ve made a donation to Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in America,’ the pair added. ‘We’ll keep using our platforms to fight for the safety of all Americans.’
