President Donald Trump unveiled America.gov, an AI-powered tool aimed at simplifying access to federal government services for American citizens, during a press event in Washington on Tuesday. The platform is designed to act as a single entry point for users seeking assistance with a wide range of government-related tasks, from Medicare enrollment to changing names following a marriage.
One-Stop Shop for Government Services
America.gov features a user-friendly search bar that allows citizens to find the specific government service they need without navigating through thousands of individual websites. Trump emphasized the tool’s potential to save users time and reduce the complexity of accessing public services.
“Instead of forcing citizens to search through the endless maze of tens of thousands of terrible government websites and rules and more than ten thousand forms… you’ll now have one front door for every single question,” Trump said during the event.
Future Integration and Expansion
Trump announced that the platform will continue to expand and integrate with more government services in the near future. During his remarks, he signed an executive order directing all federal agencies to integrate their public-facing services with America.gov as soon as possible.
“Our goal is that anything you might need from the United States government will be accessible at your fingertips and very quickly at your command,” he added.

Joe Gebbia, U.S. Chief Design Officer and co-founder of Airbnb, provided a tutorial on the website’s features and upcoming enhancements. He highlighted that the platform will eventually allow users to change their names across agencies by uploading a marriage certificate, a process that could take weeks through traditional methods.
“The future of chat conversation will include an action. You’ll be able to change your name right on the platform,” Gebbia said. “This would have taken weeks of your time, multiple filings, cutting across different agencies’ websites. That’s if you even knew where to start.”
America.gov is expected to streamline a variety of government processes, including Medicare plan comparisons, student loan checks, and address changes with the U.S. Postal Service. With its focus on user experience and efficiency, the platform represents a significant shift in how government services are delivered to the public.
