During an appearance on Breitbart News with host Matthew Boyle, Wagley expressed his unwavering support for Trump’s decisions, stating that he would not second-guess the president’s actions in the war with Iran.
Politicians Are Opportunistic, Says Wagley
Wagley criticized both Democrats and Republicans for being opportunistic in their stance on the Iran conflict, noting that many politicians use the issue for personal gain. He argued that while war is a terrible thing, it is sometimes necessary, and that the focus should remain on supporting the troops and maintaining a unified front.
“I am noticing a lot of people — whether it’s Democrats or Republicans, a lot of these politicians are very opportunistic about this subject, and they kind of flip flop and try to use it all for their own personal gain,” Wagley said. “So, I’m going to say this, we know that war is a terrible thing, and sometimes it’s necessary.”
Support for Trump and the Troops
Wagley emphasized the importance of supporting the military and not second-guessing the president’s decisions. He reiterated that the country is blessed to have Trump as a leader, despite the lack of complete information in complex situations.
“It doesn’t really do everyone any good for us to second guess our president. I’m going to say again, we’re blessed to have the president that we have, and we don’t always have all the information. So, I support our president and I’m not going to second guess him,” Wagley stated.
Need for Decisiveness and Unity
Wagley also highlighted the necessity of being decisive and ensuring that the nation remains unified on the issue of Iran. He acknowledged the difficulty of war and the desire to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, but stressed that the focus should be on taking decisive action.
“But, we also need to make sure that we’re unified on this issue, and not opportunistic about it,” he added. “We are all aware that war is hard, and nobody wants Iran to have nuclear weapons. However, it is important that we are decisive and get the job done.”
Wagley’s comments reflect a broader sentiment among some conservative figures who believe that the U.S. must take a firm stance against Iran, even as the country faces political divisions and domestic challenges.
